EMPOWER GIRLS THROUGH CREATIVITY, WELLNESS, AND SUSTAINABILITY
Social Impact Steward (SIS) is proud to announce the launch of the Petals & Possibilities Project, a sustainability-driven empowerment initiative designed to equip teenage girls with practical creative skills, wellness education, and entrepreneurial exposure. Scheduled to hold on June 20, 2026, in Lagos, the project will bring together selected secondary school girls for a unique hands-on learning experience that combines creativity, sustainability, self-development, and innovation. Participants will be introduced to the art of transforming flowers into nwellness and gifting products such as floral sachets, potpourri, and decorative floral creations while also engaging in conversations around confidence building, wellness, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
The project is a natural evolution of SIS’s previous intervention, the Green Dignity Kit Project, through which over 1,000 girls across four states in Nigeria received menstrual health education, dignity kits, sanitary products, and wellness resources.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the initiative, Oyebola Oyedele, Lead Consultant at Social Impact Steward, stated: “Our previous interventions addressed immediate needs, we however recognized the importance of creating opportunities that equip girls with practical skills, confidence, creativity, and exposure to future possibilities.
Petals & Possibilities was created to help girls see value where others see waste, opportunity where others see limitations, and possibilities where others see uncertainty.” The project seeks to demonstrate that empowerment can begin with creativity and that sustainability can become a tool for learning, innovation, and economic opportunity. In addition to practical workshops, participants will receive wellness resources, mentorship exposure, and participation certificates.
The initiative is currently welcoming sponsors, flower donors, media partners, volunteers, wellness brands, educational institutions, and corporate organizations interested in supporting girl-child development and sustainable impact.
